Associate Attorney
Emma joined Paesano Akkashian in September 2020 as a legal assistant to Brian Akkashian and Anthony Paesano. She worked closely with Brian on complex litigation matters, which inspired her to consider pursuing a law degree. After much consideration and the mentorship from Brian and Anthony, Emma started her law school career at Michigan State University College of Law in 2023.
Throughout law school, Emma worked closely with the Paesano Akkashian team to develop and refine her legal skills. Her background in paralegal work plus her newfound knowledge from law school makes her a well-rounded legal professional. In 2025, Emma accepted a position to join the Paesano Akkashian team upon graduating from Michigan State University College of Law.
While attending law school, Emma worked closely with professors on researching alternatives to property tax exemptions for educational institutions. In a forthcoming publication, Emma proposed a theory of taxation designed to balance the needs of the educational institution and that of the host community. She plans to continue researching and refining her proposed tax models under legal philosophical thought.
Out of the office, Emma enjoys playing tennis, spending time with her significant other, and of course, Cassie (plus her additional dog Zoey)! Emma is a devoted Spartan fan and will find any reason to cheer on the Sparty nation.
